Deleting your account

From the app

Open the OpenChantier mobile app, go to the Profile tab, then "Delete my account". Deletion is immediate and needs no approval from us.

On the web, the same action lives under Settings, in the Account section.

By email

If you can no longer sign in, email contact@openchantier.com from the address linked to the account. We handle the request within 30 days.

What is erased

On deletion, the following is permanently removed or anonymised:

• Your name, email, profile photo and preferences
• Your projects, tasks, notes, messages and snags
• Your site photos and their GPS position
• Your logged hours, materials and expenses
• Your push notification tokens, which stop receiving messages immediately

What is kept, and why

Some records must outlive the account, for legal reasons:

• Issued invoices and quotes, kept for 10 years (French accounting law, Code de commerce art. L123-22)
• Payment records held by our processor Stripe, under their own obligations
• Anonymised technical logs, kept for at most 12 months

None of it remains attached to you: your identity is replaced by an anonymous identifier.

Timing

In-app deletion is immediate. Encrypted database backups are purged within 30 days at the latest.
